Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'Only 7 Countries Meeting Air Quality Standards' that you kindly selected on March 26 2024.
As I mentioned in the lesson, in order to measure 'air quality', all sensors must be the same model or to be tuned and maintained correctly.
However, I suppose all the sensors are different types and models and the quality of them must be different. So, I suppose the survey result might be a little bit unfair.
I realized that "yellow dust", which is often reported in a weather news, is called "Asian dust", and it comes not only from China, but from the western part of Asia.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'Replacing Dairy: Plant-Based Alternatives for Health' that you kindly selected on March 23 2024.
As I said in the lesson, I haven't had cow's milk for a few years to avoid having too many calories.
However, I sometimes take other dairy products such as Cheese, Yogurt, etc. The taste is good and they are good condiment.
In general, having a lot of dairy products can cause diseases, but I would not purchase plant-based alternatives.
I often go to grocery stores and can see some plant-based alternatives, but the prices are expensive or the quantity is small.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'Academic year in Japan starts in April but other colleges and Universities start in October.' that you kindly selected on March 22 2024.
As I said in the lesson, I'm against the idea of the 'Academic year in Japan starts in October' for the following reasons.
1) Waiting for 6 months after high-school graduation to start the academic year in a university would be a waste of time.
Wealthy people wouldn't have this concern, but most of the families can't afford to let their children waste the time.
2) Most of Japanese universities and colleges have the same academic year, the decision must be a big disadvantage to get a job.
Most companies don't wait additional 6 months for students to graduate from universities or colleges.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'Most Shoppers Are Tired of Unnecessary Packaging' that you kindly selected on March 16, 2024.
As I mentioned in the lesson, I support the idea that products should be protected from damage by plastic wrap, styrofoam, bubble wrap and cardboard. Especially, products from an online stores are delivered for long distance, the above items are a must item to protect from damage.
Residents including me in our city have to pay charging for waste disposal.
We have to purchase plastic bags to dispose two types of waste, Burnable waste, Non-burnable waste. In addition, we have to pay recycling fee for recyclable waste, home appliances and so on.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'Creating Ties Across Generations: Kids and Adults' that you kindly selected on March 15 2024.
As far as I know, there are no any facilities like the Terao Community Center in my area.
Children who are fortunate enough to be born in wealthy families do not need to go to the institutions, because they go to cram schools and prep schools and cannot afford to play there.
Meanwhile, some children need such institutions due to their destitute households.
I realized that the finical gap is widering in Japan nowadays.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'Healthy Limits: Managing Work Stress' that you kindly selected on March 14 2024.
Elderly Japanese workers think a heavy workload is a virtue. They regard even the heavy workload as an opportunity to discipline themselves to succeed.
Meanwhile, the young generations believe that the idea is completely obsolete.
I'm curious to see which outcome between the elderly and younger workers is better in terms of quality and time.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'The History of Sumo : Entertainment for Emperors' that you kindly selected on March 11, 2024.
As I mentioned in the lesson, I haven't realized that SUMO, which many Japanese recognize as a National sport, has a long history until I read this article.
- It has been reported that there are some fixed matches in the SUMO world.
- Evil treatment, bullying, harassment and violence are rampant in a few SUMO stables.
- There are strict rules in the SUMO world, but some of them are ridiculous and outdated.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'Density and Happiness: City Living' that you kindly selected on March 7, 2024.
In general, living in a high-density area has the following advantages and disadvantages.
- Pros: Lots of shops, stores, restaurants, train stations and hospitals.
- Cons: Noisy, high rent
However, I'm happy with my current detached house which is a little bit far from a train station, but quiet, calm, surrounded by lots of nature, spacious.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'South Korean Scientists Create Hybrid 'Meaty Rice'' that you kindly selected on March 8, 2024.
As I mentioned in the lesson, the experiment is great in terms of showing the concrete and evaluated values with the result.
- Cost: $2.23 per kilogram to produce
- Nutrition: 8% more protein than normal rice
- Environment: 6.27 kg of carbon dioxide emissions
Most of the similar experiments shows only results, but there are no any evaluated values.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the Youtube Video 'Luxury World Tour: 7 Continents in 21 Days' that you kindly selected on March 4, 2024.
I thought that the Luxury World Tour was the busiest tour in the world; the tourists go through the 7 continents only for 21 days.
However, if I were a very wealthy man, I wouldn't apply for the World Tour, because I don't like to get exhausted after the tour.
The total price of the trip is equivalent to the price of a detached house or condominium in a rural town in Japan, so I would like to buy one of them.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article '25% of Irish 6-Year-Olds Own a Smartphone' that you kindly selected on March 1, 2024.
The rate of an Irish child user of having a smartphone is higher than I had thought.
Meanwhile, considering my child's classmates, I assume that the rate of elementary school students in Tokyo who have their own smartphone is approximately 10-20%.
I don't want my children to have smartphones because there are still a lot of harmful contents on the Internet and social media. As I mentioned in the lesson, the ideal age who has own smartphone is 16 years old, because they can have literacy of IT technology.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.
