Thank you so much, Benjane.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the article "Japan's free high school policy may provoke exodus from public schools" that you kindly selected on 22 June 2025.
As a Tokyo resident, I support the idea of the Tokyo municipality providing financial aid and support to public and private high schools.
Some of private schools in Tokyo prioritize profits over education. So, if Tokyo provides aid, private schools may raise tuition to maintain their profits.
Thus, I'm concerned that our paid taxes will be used to fund the profits of greedy private schools.
To avoid this worst case, Tokyo municipality should establish a strict rule regarding financial support to the private schools.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Benjane.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the YouTube video "France's National Assembly adopts bill to legalise assisted dying on first reading" that you kindly selected on 4 June 2025.
As I mentioned in class, "assisted dying" as euthanasia is illegal in Japan for now. The other day, a medical doctor who assisted in euthanasia was found guilty.
In my opinion, I think the Japanese government should consider amending the current law to legalize it.
However, there will be crimes that exploit euthanasia. Therefore, strict criteria should be implemented when revising the law.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Benjane.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the article "30% in US Use Astrology, Tarot or Fortune Tellers" that you kindly selected on 2 June 2025.
As I mentioned in class, this article reminds me of a distinctive stamp shop in Setagaya ward in Tokyo.
The shop sells handmade stamps, and the owner reads fortunes of the customer.
However, I do not trust the shop owner at all, because one of my acquaintances failed in his business and passed away due to lifestyle disease, despite being told his business would succeed.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Benjane.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the article "100 Men vs 1 Gorilla: Experts Join Viral Debat" that you kindly selected on 23 May 2025.
As I mentioned in the lesson, I estimate 100 men will win the fight due to the preponderance without any weapons.
However, most of the men would be severely wounded, and some may lose their lives.
It would be impossible for 100 men to attack the gorilla simultaneously.
I suppose fewer than 100 men will be able to defeat the gorilla.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Benjane.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the article "Japanese Couples Skip Marriage Over Surname Law" that you kindly selected on 17 May 2025.
As I mentioned in the lesson, no one around me chooses common-law marriage.
So, I assume that the ratio of people who have been in common-law marriages in Japan is low.
Meanwhile, I doubt Japan's surname law reduces the number of marriages because there are many other factors that can impede marriage.
The first is the low salary of men of marriageable age.
Second, most of Japanese men are not popular among women of marriageable age.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Benjane.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the article "Debate Better: How to Avoid 'Ad Hominem' Arguments" that you kindly selected on 7 May 2025.
It was not until I read the article that I knew about the 'Ad Hominem'.
When I worked at our previous company, one of my supervisors did the 'Ad Hominem'.
However, it had a negative and adverse effect on me because I felt very sad.
No one would be motivated with this terrible method.
Today, this behavior can be considered authority harassment, and the people who did it would be punished in Japan.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Benjane.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the article "Blood and Cuts: Germany's Finger Wrestling Competition" that you kindly selected on 4 May 2025.
It was not until I realized the Germany's Finger Wrestling is different from what I thought that I read the article.
The conventional finger wrestling, I thought, is to hold the opponent's thumb with my thumb for certain seconds.
However, the German finger wrestling is a kind of tug-of-war with your middle finger.
There is a small risk of injury. The athlete may lean back and fall out of the chair. This is probably the most likely risk.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.
