Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the article "Asian Cities Rise in Study Abroad Rankings" that you kindly selected on 7 Aug. 2025.
The Japanese government provides financial aid to foreign students studying in Japan.
The purpose is to foster the number of foreign students, but the grant is criticized, because Japanese students who go to private universities are suffering from student loans, but foreign students are preferred.
Meanwhile, smart foreign applicants reduce the number of seats at colleges and universities in Japan.
Japanese applicants who are willing to attend first-rate colleges and universities must study hard to pass the paper examinations than before.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the article "Japan Hits New Record Temperature of 41.8 Celsius" that you kindly selected on 6 Aug. 2025.
This abnormal heat must be due to the effects of global warming.
However, this problem has remained unsolved worldwide for many years.
The most major reason of the problem is emission of CO2. Reducing the average temperature is the same as reducing the emission.
However, regulation of CO2 may impede the factory's production rate.
It is difficult to strike a balance between industry and the environment.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the article "Cassette Tapes Are Making a Comeback in Japan" that you kindly selected on 5 Aug. 2025.
As I mentioned in the lesson, I saw cassette tapes in my home when I was a little kid.
Now, we can buy a 32GB microSD card for 500 yen (195 PHP) that can hold 5,000 songs. So, I wouldn't buy retro devices.
By the way, I summarized the adjectives as meaning "old."
- antique: something valuable that has been around for over 100 years.
- vintage: It's not 100 years old, but it's old and valuable.
- retro: something nostalgic from the past.
- classic: excellent items that are timeless and traditional.
- collectible: things worth collecting.
- period: things reminiscent of old times.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the article "Older Women in Singapore Stay Strong Through Sports" that you kindly selected on 4 Aug. 2025.
I forgot to mention in the lesson that there is a sport called "Gateball" in Japan as well as "Ah Ma Flippa Ball" in Singapore.
The target player of the "Gateball" is mainly elderly people. I suppose this sport is not so popular despite its history.
However, if I get old, I would not do sports, considering any risks.
I would rather jog than play sports, because jogging is a low-risk activity that is both cost-effective and time-efficient.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the article "How to Keep Your Memory Sharp as You Grow Older" that you kindly selected on 1 Aug. 2025.
As I mentioned in the lesson, I take an Omega-3 supplement every day to avoid diseases such as heart disease and dementia.
However, I did not do other tips wrtitten in the article. I'm not sure if commuting could be considered exercise or not.
According to the article, learning foreign languages can prevent dementia. This fact also motivates me to learn English.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you for your teaching!
There isn't any beach nearby. I want to go seaside, to eat seafood and to visit Philippines.
See you next time! |

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the article "Kids in South Korea Face Study Pressure Early" that you kindly selected on 28 July 2025.
The effort to educate children in South Korea is more intense than in Japan.
In fact, the average TOEIC score in Korea is more than 100 higher than the average score in Japan.
Despite this, clients in South Korea were reluctant to speak English during meetings with us.
They work for one of the top-tier companies in South Korea where elite work.
I believe they learn English to pass entrance exams for first rate universities and companies.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |
