Hello! Have a pleasant day, everyone! ! This is Ms. CHERRY PIE CAPADNGAN,
and you can call me teacher PIE. I graduated at Cebu Normal University and earned a degree of Bachelor of Science in Biology. I am a licensed professional teacher, too. Aside from teaching, I love cooking, singing, and socializing with people. I also love sports specifically, volleyball because this is one of the best ways of maintaining a healthy body. I enjoy spending time in nature, too. I am very much excited and ready to share my knowledge, capabilities and skills with you guys. I assure that you can learn a lot from me. See you in my class.

(ご両親が共に教育者の家庭に育ちましたが、フィリピンで人気のスポーツ、バレーボールの選手として大学まで活躍しました。学業も優秀で奨学金生徒であり、地域の子供たちのために指導的なボランティアを行ったりと幅広く活躍しています。とても明るく優しく朗らかな感じです。笑顔と大きな笑い声にファンが多いようです。)

It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the article "How Does Coastal Living Help US People Live Longer?" that you kindly selected on 30 Aug. 2025.
As I mentioned in the lesson, I doubt that living in a coastal area contributes to longevity for the following reasons.
- Today, Nagano Prefecture, which is not located by the sea, has the highest life expectancy in Japan.
- Nagano citizens are less likely to eat seafood.
- The climate in Nagano is not mild because it is located in high altitudes.
For these reasons, other elements are more dominant in terms of their contribution to longevity.

It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the article "Japanese Farmers Struggle as Heat Cuts Food Supply" that you kindly selected on 28 Aug. 2025.
According to this article, some farm products have decreased due to the recent heat in this season.
Meanwhile, certain crops, such as eggplant, bell pepper, cucumber, tomato, and pumpkin, become larger even at high temperatures.
The most effective defense for countermeasure is to opt for these vegetables.
Meanwhile, the government institutions should explore in improving the severe environment for livestock and provide subsidies to private companies to encourage the development of solutions to mitigate the heat.

Based on my experience living in rural Japan, where I was born and raised, I don't recommend living in rural Japan because it's inconvenient.
Meanwhile, living in rural Japan for a few weeks is not a bad idea for foreign tourists.
From the perspective of gaining experience, learning about local Japanese culture through real-life experiences is reasonable.
However, there are many stubborn elderly people there. So, You may have conflicts with them.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

As I mentioned in the lesson, I'm concerned about the adverse effects that have been caused by the artificial rain.
Considering complaints from neighboring countries, I recommend that a country should not make rain.
In addition, I doubt the artificial rain will be effective in providing the targeted area with a sufficient quantity and duration.
If a country has an issue with a lack of rain, they will first consider other workarounds, such as restricting water consumption.

Today's smartwatches have many measurement functions, such as heart rate, blood oxygen level, sleep analysis, and calories burned, etc. However, the value of some of them are not reliable.
For instance, some advertisements claim that smartwatches can even monitor blood sugar level. However, measuring blood sugar levels requires real blood. To obtain blood, patients must stick a needle into one of their fingers. For this reason, the blood sugar level measured by a smartwatch cannot be reliable.

It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the article "Shortened Workweek Improves Health and Productivity" that you kindly selected on 15 Aug. 2025.
As I mentioned in the lesson, I believe only Shortened Workweek does not improve employee health and productivity.
I propose other factors, such as postponing due dates, hiring temporary staff, and reducing quotas as very effective ways to improve employee happiness. Of course, reducing the total amount of work is also crucial.
