The more advanced generative AI gets, the more the number of data centers will increase.
This trend reminds me of the previous cryptocurrency mining boom, which consumed a tremendous amount of electricity in exchange for rewards.
However, since cryptocurrency mining is largely obsolete today, I'm a little bit concerned that this AI trend might not last either, contrary to what many people believe—although I understand that the two are completely different.
